just heard that the beta launch today hs generated some great feedback and that the website is going to be tweaked live to encorporate some changes...
If you would like a Beta Invite to
http://www.icanlendyouthat.com
please either:--
a: follow icanlendyou... on twitter at
http://www.twitter.com/icanlendyouthat
and send a direct message requesting an invite
b: leave your email address in a comment to this blog (feel free to use a name AT domain dot com -- to avoid spambots)
c: bribe me
also, I have a sneak peak from the website - which is currently in its alpha stage - from the FAQ
"- what the heck is this site all about and how does it work?
this website is a is a simple way of lending dvds, books and cds to people in your natural community, using your natural systems of communication. you can use this site to find something you would like to borrow from a friend, or to list the things you want to lend out. once you have done that if you want to lend something back, you need to pick up the phone or send an email to that person and make your humble request"
I have done a naughty!
I am not sure that this is 100% within the spirit of the website but if you click here
you will find yourself looking at the landing page for the new icanlendyouthat facebook group.

Wow.
http://icanlendyouthat.com
Is a website currently being developed by my good friend and co-conspiritor Asher Gilbert. I have been lucky enough to be able to chat to Asher throughout the coding process, and I am really excited about the site. So excited I have decided to become the sites official, unofficial blogger.
Today I have had my first look at the site, it is still in an early alpha stage - but it is really cool and the concept rocks my spotty socks I am really looking forward to when the site gets moving!
